Help Keep the Great North Ledger in Our Communities

The Great North Ledger is an independently published, for-profit community newspaper created to inform, connect, entertain, and preserve the stories of Northwestern Wisconsin.

The Ledger is provided free to readers throughout our direct-mail and pickup distribution areas. Printing and mailing thousands of copies each month carries a significant cost, and sponsorships help us expand that reach while keeping the publication available to readers at no charge.

Businesses, organizations, and individuals are invited to become sponsors of the Great North Ledger.

Sponsorship is different from advertising. Advertising purchases space to promote a business, product, service, event, or organization. Sponsorship supports the broader publication and its community mission. Sponsorship does not purchase editorial coverage, favorable treatment, or influence over what the Great North Ledger publishes.

Sponsors may be recognized in the newspaper and on our website as supporters of the publication.

Your support helps us put the Ledger into more mailboxes, reach more communities, preserve more local stories, and keep the newspaper free to readers.

Summer 2026 Pilot Edition

The inaugural pilot edition of Great North Ledger was released in July 2026 and distributed throughout Douglas County. This first issue explores the concept of preserving community stories, local history, and shared memories for future generations.

Great North Ledger is being developed with input from readers, community organizations, local businesses, and historical societies. Your feedback will help determine future content, publication frequency, and community features.
